With the age of smart phones officially here, one great face off continues to make an uproar amongst modern-tech enthusiasts; the battle between Apple and Samsung and the on-going rivalry on their smart phone products. Even if you are not much of a fan of modern technology, you would most likely have heard of this rivalry. Perhaps you even have an opinion of your own as to which is better.

Here, the focus will be on the iPhone 4s and the Samsung Galaxy S II. The goal here is to see how one fares with the other with regards to the certain features that each have. In the end, it will be entirely up to you to decide which one is more appealing in your eyes.

First, here is an overview of the iPhone 4s.

• Build and Design – It comes with a distinctively sexy form that will certainly call for some attention when you take it out of your pocket. It has a larger build which makes for an easier operation than previous versions.

• Display and Keyboard – With s 3.5-inch display, it comes with a 960 x 640 resolution with oleophobic coating  that does not entirely eliminate the need to wipe off fingerprints. It is not well-suited for outdoor viewing due to a low brightness capability. 

• Portability – Smaller yet thicker, it is easier to fit in the pocket. However, it does have more weight into it at 4.9 ounces.

• Hardware Features – The fast and responsive Apple A5 chip, internal memory range of 16GB to 32GB, fast app switching.

Now, for the Samsung Galaxy S II, these are the corresponding values.

• Build and Design – While not exactly bad when it comes to design, there is also really not much that would make it a standout. While it does have the design sensibility of a well-mannered smart phone, it falls short on a flair that makes it a distinctive piece in the market.

• Display and Keyboard - At 4.3-inches, its display is definitely bigger than that of Apple’s 4s. It has an 800 x 480 (WVGA) resolution. At such, it proves to be a great contender when it comes to immersive smart phone entertainment. The problem is that it lacks high resolution that makes for the crisp and eye-popping visuals. With Super AMOLED Plus Screens, though, it makes up for outstanding outdoor viewing experience.

• Portability - Larger in look but lighter in feel. It is definitely easy to carry around with around 4.9 to 5.1-inches in length. Its lightness comes from its slim build.

• Hardware Features - 1.5 GHz dual core or 1.2 GHz processors, 16GB of internal storage memory with micro SD slot of up to 32GB capacity.

These are only some of what these two smart phone devices can offer. You would do best by learning more about the fantastic features that they have. By then, you would most certainly be able to make a much clearer opinion of which one is better. In any case, however, the general public will always be torn when it comes to making the judgment.
